Remembering & Returning

In this weekend’s retreat we discussed how this path often feels like a continual process of:

forgetting → remembering → returning

However often we’ve heard these teachings, we find ourselves again enmeshed in daily life autopilot, mental habits, reactivity patterns…

We forget that all the atoms of our bodies already existed before we were born & that life is infinitely bigger than the little worries we carry around all day 🚶‍♀️

Then we come back. We remember again.

(the Pali word for mindfulness translates to ‘remembering’ (‘sati’))

So if you find your inner critic goes wild every time you ‘get lost’, don’t worry, it’s a normal part of what we’re doing here

We get lost, we breathe & return, time & time again.

And we’re not alone with it - the beauty of ‘sangha’ is that we come back together to remind each other
