Embodied Presence: 8-Week Studio Series

MONDAYS
20:00 - 21:30
Purely in-person

An 8-week journey of yoga and meditation that invites you to slow down and rediscover the quiet joy of being.

We’ll explore 8 different doorways into presence, using yoga āsana and mindful awareness and themes such as fluidity, vibrance and stillness.

Yoga is traditionally more about awareness than purely the body; we use the body is a valuable tool, and ultimately the practice goes much deeper - towards an experience of pure awareness in all of its luminosity — clear, bright and alive.

Together we’ll discover that presence is not a practice of effort, but an opening into ease, clarity, and aliveness.

This series is for anyone who longs to reconnect with their body and rediscover the quiet spaciousness of presence.

Your classes bring me so much joy & grounding

Our Weekly Themes

Week 1: The Pleasure of Presence
Life reveals its quiet abundance when we pay attention. In our first class we’ll shift from distraction to the richness of each breath, each sensation, each moment.

Week 2: Fluidity
The body is an ocean of waves — rising, falling, flowing. Using ujjayi breath, fluid āsanas and a ‘waving vinyasa’, we’ll open to the organic rhythms within us.

Week 3: Welcoming
Every thought, feeling, and sensation belongs to the human experience. We’ll meet the mind and heart with openness rather than resistance.

Week 4: Vibrance
The yogic hallmark of attention; resting in awake, relaxed awareness, where vitality and ease meet.

Week 5: Listening
When we quieten the noise we can hear more of our body, breath, and inner compass.

Week 6: Rest
We’ll explore rest as a choice, a quality of presence, and a wisdom that restores and nourishes us.

Week 7: Trust
The body carries a quiet knowing. We’ll rediscover the trust that grows when we listen openly rather than fixing.

Week 8: Stillness
Traditionally, the final (and most important) aspect of the mantra Om is silence — a return to the ground of being. In our final week, we’ll explore stillness as an inner home, a place we can always return to.

Each week I’ll provide optional journaling prompts in line with each theme to go deeper on your own if you’d like to

Alongside the studio classes, you’ll receive a video library bundle of 6 x guided yoga and meditations practices. These will be useful to keep a regular practice in case you need to miss a studio class and for optional extra practice at home.

Why join a series?

Having a dedicated weekly time and space in a group at the studio provides the gift of consistency. It is calming to know that we have a weekly space to re-set. Each week there’s nothing new to decide; your place is held in a beautiful space - you just need to arrive. The benefits of this practice shine with regularity. Signing up in advance is making a healthy, positive commitment to yourself and your well-being looking forwards into the coming season.

What style of yoga is it?

The yoga style is ‘Flow & Restore’: A well-balanced blend of energising vinyasa flow yoga leading organically into calming, deep stretches for tension release, vibrance and inner quiet.

Will we focus more on the body or mind?

Both!
We’ll build strength and vibrance in the body and create space for the inner, reflective parts of ourselves.

Yoga postures are a powerful way to release physical tension and balance the nervous system and awareness practices will open space in the mind and depth in our presence. Though, of course, in yoga the mind and body are seen not as separate entities, but as aspects of the same continuum.

This holistic practice (especially when done regularly) enhances our everyday lives long after we’ve left the mat. Our thoughts determine the quality of all our experiences in life.

As we both move the body and gain more space around our thoughts, we are often able to find more comfort with emotions, recognise habitual thought patterns, regulate overthinking and access more self-acceptance, grounding and ease.

I will be here to guide and support you.

I appreciate how much space you offer during your classes. It is up to me, listening to my body. I feel absolutely no pressure
