Develop, Refine, Grow: A 3-month course for new yoga teachers

March 3 - June 23, 2019, guided by Anya Kinneavy (Yoga in English, Berlin)

Teaching yoga is deeply nourishing, rewarding, and at times terrifying. It’s very natural to still have a lot of questions after passing your first teaching qualification - and it’s hugely important to keep asking and learning.

This course is here to provide a space for your practical and personal development, to give answers to your questions from a healthy and open-minded range of perspectives, and to share support along your individual journey.

It will provide a supportive framework for you as you grow, step by step, into a confident and inspiring teacher.

We will cover:
*Holding space confidently
*Finding your own, personal teaching style: what exactly do you want to share, and why?
*Refining your use of language, cues, timing, voice and presence
*How to work with common injuries and pregnant students
*How to build safe, effective sequences
*The best ways to teach beginners
*Discussing the benefits and limitations of hands-on assistance
*Life skills for the business side of teaching yoga
*Your own personal development in yoga, meditation and self-enquiry
*Practical tips, tricks and discoveries from my past decade of experience as a teacher
*Practice, practice, practice! Regular, structured opportunities to practice teaching in a group with supportive, constructive and personalised feedback

*Pre-course recommended reading list
*Individual assignments before and during the course
*Journaling your teaching practice
*1 x personal, full class visit with follow-up feedback
*1 x course introduction afternoon
