Meditation Practice Group

Do you feel like you know the basics of meditation, but don’t manage get around to actually doing it?

Maybe you know it’s so beneficial for you and it works for a little while, then life gets busy and the motivation fades?

You’re not alone in this!

Meditation isn’t only about knowing how to do it—it’s about finding the rhythm, space and ideally the support to actually keep showing up. That’s exactly what this group is here for.

MEDITATION PRACTICE GROUP
Mondays, 20:00 - 21:15
Online
May 4 - June 15
6 sessions
(one week pause in the middle)
Open to everyone

I’ve taught many meditation courses over the years on the how and why of the practice - theory, tips and techniques. Those lectures are available in my video library, and if you’re new (or you want a refresher), I recommend those to grasp the essentials of what meditation is.

Once we’ve learned the basics, then it’s all about regular practice.

This group is here to help you actually get around to doing it; gently guided by me and supported by a like-minded group.

This is a weekly, dedicated time for you: to pause, to sit, and to reconnect—held within a small, supportive community of people who understand the same challenges and want to go deeper in this enriching practice.

No pressure to be perfect. No expectation to get anything ‘right’ or to have a calm mind. Purely a consistent space where your practice can gently take root and grow.

Come as you are and sit with us. Let consistency become something you don’t have to figure out alone.

‘‘But I don’t have time to meditate’’?

It’s funny, we often imagine we don’t have time, but of course we do. Checking our screen time can be a humbling realisation of our priorities.

There’s a famous saying: ‘‘You should sit in meditation for 20 minutes a day. Unless you're too busy, then you should sit for an hour."

We are actually so much more productive with a clear mind!

Time seems to open up in meditation. It can unlock a feeling of the day expanding. This perceived perpectual busy-ness calms down a bit. We often feel a beautiful sense of perceiving time more spaciously.

Gandhi once said: "I have so much to accomplish today that I must meditate for two hours instead of one."

It can of course be easier said than done to carve out the time and commitment to sit on our cushion and slow our pace down enough to meet the breath authentically. But often the reason we find it hard is more an inner discomfort rather than not actually having time.

Bringing this to light can open up space and possibility. Something we’ll explore!

We’ll…
look at ways to support a home meditation practice (that works!)
Sit and practise together. Regularly, sincerely, supported by the group.
